RE:RE:800 BI think that untill recent years utilities and uranium companies have preferred long term contracts. Taking in to considaration that it can take 10-15 years to start/build a mine it must feel safe for both utilities and mining companies to negotiate long term supply.
It is only in recent years that we have had so much uranium being bought in the spot market. The reason must be the oversupply that we have had becuase of Fukushima, Kazakstan entering the market and the demolitation of the US and Russian missiles.
I think that the long term contracts are just starting to end so we shall see.
Unfortunatly I think that the 232 resoluton could delay new long term contracts untill we know more about what will happen. If I were a utlity I would not feel comfortable not knowing how new laws and taxes will inpact current contracts.
