Where will your new "MJ" shop open up for business.....Note - I have posted this comment on SA  and wish to add that Morguard REIT has a presence in Alberta ( retail and office ) as well as all major provinces in Canada.

 I am going to assume that MJ whether medical or recreational will require some retail locations across Canada. If that assumption has any validity would this allow for Canadian Reits to add value and possibly create demand for top retail malls or even be considered as growth opportunities.

 

 Really I see this as a major opportunity for Canadian Reits to prosper - for example Alcanna ( Aurora Cannabis owns 25% of it ) which now operates as a liquor and wine store in Alberta is planning to expand it's retail presence. I will assume that they will command the top locations in all the major centres in the province of Alberta as well as all the other provinces in which they plan to expand via Aurora as the October MJ date arrives.
Ok now multiply this across all the States as well as all the various individual MJ companies and there could be a Reit revival in North America.
 Yes, there is the online sales element but they must have a base location somewhere and that could be a dual retail / online location or office / retail / online location.
 Just floating the idea ......as the saying goes " own the picks and shovel store not the miners".
