RE:OCS Epic failure = Canopy Win

RE:OCS Epic failure = Canopy WinTinToronto, this is just another example of how much the provinces messed up on their side of decriminaliztion through probably the worst execution possible. I really do not see how the provincial governments could have put in less effort. Every aspect is frustrating to watch from the stickers non-adhesive which are under-supplied and need to go onto container tops, lack of ability to have branding and colour on the packaging, to the overall missed opportunity of store presence. I keep pursuing dialogue with my local MP, and I advise everyone who is fustrated to voice their complaints. I hope things start to shape-up a bit. I know this is an entirely new process, but holy F#$k the provinces have put forth the least amount of effort possible and have actually helped the black market a bit. Currently, it is easier for consumers to buy illegal cannabis, some of which coming from store fronts with brightly displayed and branded product, and the consumer can still buy their edibles. Black market, illegal dispensaries are still crazy busy here and highly successfully without even a worry of the police coming. If I was to sell black market cigarettes, or alcohol from a non-licensed storefront I would probably be shut down and in jail the next day.

TinToronto wrote: So a quick narrative, I keep getting these notices from OCS because my numerous orders haven’t arrived - I literally ordered 10 minutes into legalization.  I received my first package on Monday and it was for the most part - not great week.  The couple of pre rolls I ordered from Aurora were awful.
Having said that I did get some chocolate Fondu from DNA and it was awesome as always.  Just a bit disappointed that most of my favorite Tweed strains wouldn’t be as accessible thought my license with them as most of those strains are now designated for the adult use sales. Though i was pleased to see Bakerstreet back on the spectrum site.  But then there’s, this,....notice from OCS.

The good news is that I have placed and received 3 ordered from Spectrum , all delivered within 3 days - all since October 17th.  So it seems its not the producers delaying product its the provinces trying to get their sh!t together...frustrating.

Sincere apologies on product delivery delays / Sincres excuses pour les retards de livraison des produits

Dear T,

Thank you for ordering from OCS.ca. We know that you are frustrated and still waiting for your order. We sincerely apologize for this delay.

We are writing to give you an update on your order 12599. Some of the items we received from Health Canada-authorized licensed producers (LPs) were mislabelled and unfortunately this delayed our ability to ship your order to you, with the correct products you ordered. The OCS has been working closely with LPs to update them on this issue and has taken steps to ensure all new inventory received has this corrected.

We have been working around the clock to resolve this issue and we will have your order shipped in the coming days. You will receive a Canada Post tracking number once your item has shipped.

We truly appreciate your time, patience, and understanding as we work to make this right.

Thank you,

Patrick Ford
President, Ontario Cannabis Store
