RE:RE:Q3Ok, over an hour into trading today.... is anyone else this surprised by the movement on the Q3 news?
Former long-term shareholder of HDI who stopped out several months ago. Got back in last week based on seeing how the markets were reacting to other lumber stocks Q3 results (Norbord in particular), figured HDI got stupid-cheap at $12-$13.
Random thoughts on the trading today might be:
1) Market not believing HDI's outlook/guidance
2) Market reacting to other US housing news today that I am not aware of (posters, help me out if this is the case...)
3) HDI not on the radar of institutional investors due to combination of small market cap and low trading volumes
HDI has typically traded at a TTM PE of 12-15. With the Q3 results, it's currently at a PE of just 7.5... stupid cheap, unless one forsees HDI profits suddenly dropping by half.
Thoughts from others?
