RE:RE:RE:You're ShortAlways be cautious Mayham... Just because WEED goes down, doesnt mean its company specific.
You have to look at Canadian Cannabis like you would US FAANGS. It has the allure of "distruption + new opportunities" but without any forecastability and little clarity into how it will all play out SPECIFICALLY. Everoyne has their opinions but they are just opinions.
Similar to US FAANGS, you have investors playing on hype or making social bets. If market confidence is shaken, these will come down. Also consider the liquidity in the names and if you are like me and see these names as a proxy for US momentum, then its the perfect vehicle to short as long as there isnt a new narrative forming.
The longer it takes of for this narrative to build, the greater the chance the old eyes will find something shinier to play with.
At the same time, while you have cash now, what are the chances that the people who sold post legalization redistributed their money elsewhere and even if they DID believe WEED was going to go higher, do they have the confidence to abandon their other new investments for this one?
Lots of moving parts and many have absolutely nothing to do with the fundamentals of this stock.
