RE:$ 60,000 Per Acre of Hemp
krisruna wrote: I inserted in Google "How much money can you make from 1 acre of Hemp farm". THe answer came out $ 60,000 This means 17 acre will give $ 1 M 17,000 acre will give $ 1 B 600 acre ia one Sq Mile. So, 17,000 acre/600 = 30 Sq Mile (not bad). Can I be missing some thing.
I feel like going into hemp cultivation.
Yes you are missing something... the concept of supply & demand...
Now that HEMP will soon be legal and will be increasingly available the production of hemp will increase until Hemp production reaches a price equal to the cost of capital + average farming return.
Hemp will eventually be traded on exchanges like corn/soybeans etc. You essentially just added another crop to be grown.
Now... will there be money to be made by first moves? sure. will the demand for hemp grow over time resulting disequilibrium? Sure ... Canada may already be oversold (not accounting for crop shortages)...
Making significant capital outlays for potentially 2-3 years of lucrative returns is a tough rational investment and maybe small farming units, similar to small cannabis grows in Canada will chase hopeful returns only to be dissapointed by long term returns..
Hopefully that helps.
