If short sellers drive down the bigger stocks, that has an effect to the smaller also. 

Stocks can't move seperately their sector unless they have a potential strong catalyst. Take a look to marijuana stocks.

Fortunately PPR has a catalyst. It is a welcome bonus for an already very undervalued stock.
