RE:RE:RE:Gran Colombia Gold against illegal mining

RE:RE:RE:Gran Colombia Gold against illegal miningI think Gran Colombia is trying to force the government`s hand . The company brought many miners on board at Segovia as contract miners and that has worked out very well . One problem is the mayor of Marmato , a well known crook . He claims two of the larger artisianal mines are his and he rents them out to the local poor for a take . The miners themselves only keep a few grams for a long day .  The mayor has always lead the charge against GCM .  There is a U-Tube of him dissing the company a few years back .  Another problem you would think the government would want to clear up is the local miners using mercury . The government says it is banned but it is still going into the environment all over the place . My guess is the mayor and his cronies still supply the mercury .    I don`t know why the locals won`t contract to Gran Colombia . My guess is like the desperate poor everywhere they just don`t know any better .  I also think the number of miners are greatly strectched by the media .   There is another old U-Tube of illegal miners down in a water filled mud pit at Marmato . They look like ants stuck in the mud . They make next to nothing . I wouldn`t wish their lives on anybody . You would think they could see for themselves how well people do working for Gran Colombia .
The Chinese miners are working on dredges in the rivers using lots of mercury . It`s really tough to stop those guys .
