RE:RE:RE:Alberta family's are starving nice rant, lol
yeah I tried it there, paid well, loved the safe work conditions
was up at Aurora, good Co, good people
the town wasn't any worse than any other mining town I've been to
as for saving Alberta
there was a guy put forth a proposal in the 70's
would have provided a reserve fund in the billions
to help the industry stay afloat during oil price downswings
sure the plan wasn't perfect
but it would have meant pipelines to other Canadian regions
and Albertans wouldn't lose the house when oil was > 50/bbl
but Albertans cried like a 2 year old that needed a nap
started the "let Ontario freeze in the dark BS"
not understanding their own industry
that the East gets no Alberta oil
they can take their ball and go home all they want
our refineries will continue to be suppied like always
so they chose to give away that fabulously valuable resourse for pennies on the dollar
to the Oil Co's
and now they expect the East to buy their dirty oil
we don't need it
no one needs it
market price tells everyone that
not begrudging the people that work their butt off to make good dough
I've done it for decades
but there are other places to go
you don't have to sit unemployed in the oil patch and whine to the ROC
