Thats also a big factor in why Knights trading valuations are so much lower than its peers.

These are the reported legal shorts but these are not the main cause.

Naked shorting is rampant on the TSX and Knight is infested.

Over the past month, Goldman has sold 2 million phantom shares as naked shorts.
Today is no different.

Volumes have exploded mostly by phantom shares.

Unbelievably IIROC does not check for Failure to Deliver trades.

Also IIROC removed the uptic rule in 2012  which makes naked shorting a peice of cake by the brokers in the back rooms of Houses like Goldman.

IIROC is totally conflicted as its the same brokerage Houses which pay its costs.

The OSC is also hopeless and we have no national securtites administration.

If Good man was on top of his game, he would annouce a share buyback.
Whether any are bought back or not, the message would get rid of naked shorting.

Sorry, I think this is hogwash, quite a conspiracy theory though. Shorts are generally not stupid, more astute than longs and would not short a stock who's downside is very limited. Juat over 1% of the float is nothing. Tons of overvalued junk to short. Do you have anything to prove your theory or did you invent this on the go to justify the 2+ years of price declines?
