"yes 5-6yrs .. how long did WestJet take to get off the tarmac ? 1994 established ... how much longer before that ? hmmm try 4yrs of anxiety for shareholders"

Recheck your math and data Bobby.

The company "WestJet" was incorporated on June 24 1994. In the course of the next 20 months they raised funding, achieved all necessary licensing and put in place all the basic support services for operation. WestJet took it's first commercial passenger flight on Feb 29 1996 which was just 20 months and 5 days after registering the name "WestJet as a business entity.

On the flip-side.

Jetlines incorporated in Aug of 2012. They lost a great deal of credibility in the investment community in 2013-2014 when the announced they had secured $100 million of financial backing and would fly their first commercial flight in the Fall of 2014. They had no such funding, licensing or planes to support such a grandiose statement.

They have since reverse merged into a publicly traded shell to access the public markets and were granted permission to increase foreign ownership based on their statements that they had foreign backers but the laws prohibited them from investing.

Fast forward to Feb 2019. They have yet to achieve the necessary funding to even pursue an airline license but they do give regular press releases about "Partnering" with just about anyone that has a product or service to sell if they ever become an airline.

I am just calling it as it was and is. Make of it what you will.
