I thought about this one just before the deal with CAP REIT was announced. At that time, ERE.UN was paying a 9%+ distribution at 100% Return of Capital. As part of the takewover deal, however, the distribution will be significantly cut - according to their announcement. Still don't know what the new distribution will be - so rather like stepping into the unknown!
