Long term infrastructure = Long term position" Go for a business that any idiot can run - because sooner or later, an idiot probably is going to run it." Peter Lynch
Unfortunately, this applies to Aphria until they get a new board. On the plus side, Aphria is located in Leamington, Ontario (the green belt). This is of importance because a company, named Heinz, based their Canadian tomato production there --- it is safe to say they understand the importance of COGS and margins. This small town has the same latitude as San Francisco, and is located below 7 states. This is huge advantage compared to its peers.
For instance; Aurora decided on a place called Edmonton, AB for their Sky Facility. This city is over 1000kms north of Leamington. Their acquired growspace from MedReleaf is located downtown Toronto which would also incur huge costs. Not all production numbers are created equal, and you can't simply move 100s of millions, or in some case, billions of infrastructure after it is built. These facilities will become worthless once the rest of world catches up.
For those who don't enjoy playing the market noise and day trading. This is a long term pick that will still be here years from now when the dust settles.
Be gentle, my first post. Happy trading!
