RE:Shaw family, the controlling stakeholder of CorusTurtle... I respectfully disagree with U putting all the blame for Corus misfortunes on shorts!
Unfortunatelly I am not one of them as succesful shorting requires investing sofistication that I lack, but shorts do play an important role on the market by identifying companies that are overvalued, poorly managed and declining in prospects.
The process is not without risk as is illustrated by the ones that shorted Tesla some years ago and lost shirts. Tesla, in a clear defiance to reality, not just did not collapse (YET) but went to $370+ at one time.last year. So, shorts also lose but if they are right, they make tons of money on guys like U, I and even Determinator. You can't argue that shorts were wrong attacking Corus! Clearly Corus was at that time grossly overvalued, terribly managed (still is) and an object in declinging business sector.
To be honest, I have only one problem with shorts - and that is that they did not bring Corus to $2.50 as that was my threshold in going big cjr.
Good luck,
