Cgp management wanted 50% of the seats. Question is at what level they start asking us to accept the offer.

That's one possiblity.

OTOH, another thought we've heard is that SolGold doesn't have the money to afford a Cornerstone buyout at true value.

SolGold hasn't yet met all the earn-in requirements according to Cornerstone press releases.  It this is true, maybe there is the hint of some desperation in SolGold's exercise in futility.
