Canadian pot prices rise 17% after legalization
The way I see it, Canadian LP's will be pressed to lower cost to consumer in order to compete with the Black Market, likewise, the Canadian Government will have to ease up on some of the regulations. When these changes come, any company that cannot achieve production cost under a dollar will find it hard to make substantial profits, that in turn will negatively affect the stock price. However, big players like Aurora that is prepared to still maintain high profit margins will go up in stock price. Undoubtedly the smaller companies will have to give into takeovers at a low premium, as with HEXO-HIP deal, or risk going out of business. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/cannabis-canada-daily-canadian-pot-prices-rise-17-after-legalization-1.1242607
