RE:RE:RE:The GPS Barry here's the reason Shoal Point Energy's application was turned down. CNLOPB's letter states as follows:

"In this matter, the Applicant, SPE,has not established a mechanical or other technical problem to justify the drilling of an alternative well in accordance with subsection 70(3). As stated in the Application, the request is "because of delays in the environmental assessment of Western Newfoundland and Labrador onshore and offshore fracking". 

To me this looks like an error in judgement on the part of SHP.

As I stated in my earlier post any company with the financial and technical know how should have no trouble getting a license to drill. And as I've stated before the big money gave up on western Newfoundland 20 years ago. Without drilling, and lots of it, no one will know the extent of the oil. All we currently have are estimates. Anyways best of luck to you and all others on this board who are waiting for something magical to happen.
