RE:skepticalThen I don’t think you understand the current dynamics of global cobalt refining. China has had a stranglehold on refining. North American refining is non-existent. This monopoly is less than ideal for miners. They essentially have one customer. So China is allowed to set pricing. And when they decide to stop buying, it hurts. Miners will welcome NA refining because it creates competition for their product as well as stability. If Glencore can diversify its customer base a bit by using FCC as a refiner, they will gladly do so. Especially since they will be given a fantastic deal because they are helping to finance it. Do some reading on the market dynamics and you will soon realize FCC has at least one cheek in the driver seat.
