Alternate Symbol(s):  ELBM

Electra Battery Materials Corporation is a Canada-based processor of low-carbon, ethically sourced battery materials. The Company is focused on building a supply of cobalt, nickel and recycled battery materials. It is engaged in the business of battery materials refining, including refining material from mining operations and from the recycling of battery scrap and end of life batteries. It owns two main assets: the refinery located in Ontario, Canada and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project located in Idaho, United States. Its projects include Ontario Refinery, Recycling, Becancour, North American Nickel and Iron Creek. It is in the process of constructing its expanded hydrometallurgical cobalt refinery, assessing the various optimizations and modular growth scenarios for a recycled battery material (known as black mass) program, and exploring and developing its mineral properties. The Iron Creek Project consists of mining patents and exploration claims over an area of 3,300 hectares.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Refinery revenue, Glencore, Jervois, ICP Thoughts

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Refinery revenue, Glencore, Jervois, ICP ThoughtsA refinery located at the Idaho next to Iron Creek, ICP and the other prospective mines in that area would be ideal so long as they can get permitting and construction done in a timely manner.  Doing so would certainly nail down the issue of no US tariffs and of course, no shipping costs.  Idaho is friendly toward mining, even though right next to the ICP and Iron Creek projects is the Glencore owned Black Bird mine that is an EPA super fund site.  I expect that Dundee Corporation, a 10% or more shareholder in eCobalt, would also be in favor of this via Dundee Sustainable in that its Glasslock process for arsenic has been proposed to eCobalt for its Cobalt ore which does contain arsenic.  Boy there are a lot of interrelated companies and interests in the NA cobalt mining/refining business.
