As vice president, Miller works to guide NANA through responsible resource development processes and help grow the corporation to meet the future needs of NANA shareholders. Formerly a geoscientist with NANA subsidiary WHPacific Inc., Miller’s past positions also include project manager for NovaGold, executive director of the Juneau Economic Development Council, Eurasia project manager for Placer Dome, chief geologist for Echo Bay Mines on the AJ project and president of a private mining company. He has worked in the minerals industry throughout North America, as well as in Asia and Africa. He is a board member of the Alaska Miners Association, currently is on the Alaska Minerals Commission, is a board member of the Resource Development Council and is on the University of Alaska Anchorage Geosciences advisory board. He is a past president of the Juneau Douglas Ice Association and the Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research. He was a member of the Alaska Climate Impact Assessment Commission and a founding board member of Alaska Investnet.
