Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE: UPDATE 1-CANNTRUST VAUGHAN, ONTARIO FACILITY GETS NON-COMPL

RE:RE: UPDATE 1-CANNTRUST VAUGHAN, ONTARIO FACILITY GETS NON-COMPLThis is becoming reminiscent of Donald Trump's Tweets.  Despite these news releases of being little to no value (rather than just instigating and perpetuating malaise), they just won't go away.

What bothers me is the story is pretty much the same for the last month or so...TRST was knowingly non-compliant.  But we get hit with daily stories and intrigue, which is doing nothing for the sector.  How many times do we need to hear they messed up badly.

I just wish HC would do their investigation and levy the appropriate mitigations.  The quicker this is resolved the better for the entire industry.

I hate to bring it up, but this is kind of like the rebuttal silliness.  The more it went on, the more unnecessary and obtuse damage it caused.  As time went by it became pretty clear that most of the allegations were unfounded.  The delays in resolving this, and the news pumps are just making a long summer lull even more unbearable.

I expect TRST will lose their license and there will be negotiations for a LP to take over.

If I were interested (and Irwin Simon has not ruled out) I would be getting politiians involved.  It would be something like "You want Aphria to salvage this mess and maintain jobs in these ridings?  Then you, local MP and MPP, light a fire under HC and ensure we get something for our trouble...like the license back as soon as we take it over and future considerations as we try to make this sector work in Canada."  Something like that.  Politicians will be getting involved...election in October, don't want unemployed and unhappy employees.

I assumed like others they where 5 unlicensed rooms in full compliance and that they were simple tired of waiting for delayed approval. These new charges indicate they are still not compliant. I don't see how they are going to survive this? Even a buy out seems risky for any company as now you associate your company with the bad public perception and HCs extra future scrutiny. I hope Ahpria is not involved with any potential buyout. The fact it is a publically traded company makes it worse. I feel for the retail investor caught up in this mess.
