Manufacturers - A Good ThingIf a manufacturer wanted to get into this business and place a bid, they would need to demonstrate they can deliver. HOW? No Sales force in place, etc. As for VMD, they can demonstrate they can deliver and are operating in 29 states with near term plans to be in all 48 states. Seriously, if you were a manufacturer and really wanted to get into this game, you don't start from scratch, you would buy a company who is already in the market and with lots of room to grow. VMD would be an ideal candidate to purchase if you wanted to get into the business vertically down to the customer. Or you could simply continue to partner with companies like VMD and ensure their bids are competitive in the upcoming competitive bid process. Much less risk with the latter option, but purchasing VMD wouldn`t be a bad business decision either. As for me, I have no worries about manufacturers impacting the valuation of VMD. If anything, it may create a buy out opportunity and we all know what that would mean to existing shareholders. LOL on the manufacturer threat!
