True North Commercial Real Estate Investment Trust (the REIT) is a Canada-based unincorporated, open-ended real estate investment trust. The REIT is primarily focused on creating value for unitholders through the investment in and ownership of commercial properties in Canada. The REIT’s primary objective is to maximize total returns to its unitholders. Its returns include a stable, reliable, and tax-efficient monthly cash distribution as well as long-term appreciation in the value of its units through the effective management of a portfolio of commercial properties. The REIT owns and operates a portfolio of about 40 properties consisting of approximately 4.6 million square feet in urban and select strategic secondary markets across Canada focusing on long-term leases with government and credit-rated tenants. RE:RE:RE:RE:haltedThe problem with owning shares in a private company is the lack of visibility. Many companies of this business model have come and gone and took with them millions and millions of investors' money. When you own shares of a publicly traded company and know what you're doing, you have much better insight into the company's goings on. TNT.UN is a good, well managed and growing company. It issues new shares to help finance growth. I have, in the past, owned shares in two companies that were run by Mr. Drimmer. Those companies were taken out, resulting in a windfall for investors (including myself). BTW using expletives won't earn you respect on this board. If you don't own TNT.UN why even comment here???? Get a life.
