BNN talking headNew Haven Asset Mgmt was taling about ALA-one of their favorite long term picks. They assert that company did not have to cut its dividend but chose to when yield got silly! Not sure I completely buy that but I do believe that incoming management insisted on a much deeper than necessasary cut so that Randy and co could take credit for raising it. As I recall they were paying out 100%-not prudent but technically doable-especially with new projects coming on stream. At the current price of ACI surely they have the flexibility of selling that holding and reducing debt servicing costs to where an increase would work
