Before Sequoia went under they managed to abandon about a third of the wells PMT sold them for a buck. I'm not sure what the courts will decide, but it seems in the worst case PMT will have to take back those lands and the abandonment of the rest of the wells. In this case PMT will still come out a winner as they got a lot of abandoned for free as I can't see the courts making PMT pay for them retroactivley.
