RE:RE:Can't see them releasing any news before..OK, more Viking history. In an owners meeting in 1960 a franchise to the NFL was granted to Minnesota. On sept 27, 1960 the name Minnesota Vikings was selected for the team. Play in the NFL began in 1961 with play at the old outdoor Met. The Vikings have played in 4 Super Bowls but have lost them all. Another chance for glory again this year. SKOL VIKINGS. Enough Viking history, let's get some movement on the SP!!!
