RE:Batchewana First Nation opposes smelter

RE:Batchewana First Nation opposes smelterLou they still have Timmins, that will be a cake walk and won’t have any negative pushback from First Nations and city residents. Noront is so close in finalizing a smelter deal in Timmins, if only there was a better alternative to this smelter, one which uses 30-40% less energy, one which doesn’t create harmful gases and byproduct, one which has a 1/3rd the capital cost, one which has a cheap and long reliable energy supply, one which doesn’t require taxpayers subsidies, one which transforms Chromite into Ferrochrome in a solid state. First Nations and City residents would be more receptive to such a process.
