Results are out for Q1 I've just read the 1st quarter results news release. As expected, due to seasonality, Gatekeeper had a sequential decline in revenues and a small operating loss. However, this was the strongest 1st quarter in history and I note that the 82% growth is accelerating sequential growth which is very impressive (previous quarters and year were in the 70% range). The 3.3 million in revenue is even higher than last year's 2nd quarter revenue!
Clearly the large contracts the company has been awarded with the Pennsylvania Transit Agency will be quicking in in full force starting Q3. While we wait, however, I note From the news release: "The Company is also actively pursuing initiatives with other transit authorities in North America." So there could be Very positive contract announcements in the near future as we wait for PTA revenues to roll in. Clearly, Gatekeeper has top-notch products and is likely very competitive in any bidding process they enter.
As for the stock price, many "clever" traders thought they could sell the rumour in January and buy the news of a "slow" quarter. Well, let's see if they are really that "clever". I, for one, will not sell them a single of my shares as I think this is another blowout quarter by the company. Other people who bought/added in January were also aware of the revenue dynamics and likely to old very tight. Time is definitely on (our) the long side as we're getting closer to fantastic results starting in 6 months and potentially good news even sooner.
Cheers
