Employees Under contract with SOX

Employees Under contract with SOXI'm not a legal / HR expert however I was wondering if someone out there can bring some light on this question. A SOX employee mentioned to me that quite a few employees are considering leaving SOX however they are concerned that SOX will enforce a clause in their contracts that will prevent them from joining another industry related company for a period of time. The question is: SOX altered these individuals contracts by lowering the SOX RRSP contributions by 50% which really mean they changed their income / salary. Does this mean SOX broke contract and that the contracts are void and for this reason people can argue they are not under contract anymore? I would like to hear what people say.

Thanks
