Final Buy America certification – expect major media push

Final Buy America certification – expect major media pushThis is just a hunch, based on the fact they just landed a $40 million dollar Buy America contract, that they have already received the final Buy America compliance certificate when the Mississippi buses came off the Spartan manufacturing line.  I assume Spartan would not even be able to ship the product to the end customer unless the Buy America inspector had given it his final approval.  The large order would not have been possible without it because in the last conference call management said this is what the customers were waiting for to place the very large orders.

The Alliance Bus Group salesmen have been taking potential new US customers to the Spartan factory to see where these buses are being made and their high quality and adherence to Buy America requirements.  They’ve been using the Spartan factory line as a selling tool.  This information was included in the last conference call transcript.

Below is an excerpt from the late November conference call.  Emphasis is mine.

The first delivery of our Buy America-compliant buses will build the confidence in the marketplace and provide assurance to the customers that we can deliver Buy America buses. We will be pushing for major media coverage on this event, and we'll be taking out full-page ads in the appropriate trade magazines for maximum exposure.

My instincts say we’re going to start seeing this in the media soon.  Placing ads can take a little while so don’t expect it to be in the next hour, have a little patience.  Then look out.  You don’t want to chase the stock when that news comes out.

From the way the bashers, who were pretending to be longs, were posting negative things like crazy during the last halt, it looks like they missed the mother of all run ups.  Let’s hope they miss the next one too and are forced to chase it again (causing another massive run up) or sit back and watch while cringing at their lack of balls.

The bashers know the media push is coming and want to scare you into selling your shares to them cheap so they can get on for the next big ride and have you chase it instead.  Don't do it.  Let them bid up your shares after the news comes out.
