RE:RE:Bombardier family EU would have approved the merger of Alstom and Siemens as long as Siemens sold their signaling business. Siemens refused and the deal fell apart. There was too much over lap between Alstom and Siemens in signing business. Bombardier and alstom dont have that issue. Alstom is strong in signaling and Bombardier in train relatively speaking.
