Just read more about Tianqi - Chinese government pushes the company to aquire Li, now they control 46% of global production directly or indirectly.

Now, while EU still sleeping and US focusing on burning coal, China seem to be trying to not just secure, but establish Persian Gulf like dominance in future supply. Tianqi is struggling now, but soon they may influence prices the way OPEC does with oil.

It maybe a gamble, but I say it is 90% chances that NLC will have Chinese connection. NLC has unbeatable deposit, will fix any bottom lines with its promising 200% markup (in today's environment). Its undiscovered resources is probably immense. Adding NLC while capitalization is soft will get them to 51%+ world-wide stake.

Tianqi's capitalization is 42B USD, issuing 200M worth shares would represent less than .5% dilution.
