Not sure on that response.  Good question.  I deal with Investors Edge discount brokerage (CIBC) and will inquire on this myself next week when the banks are open again.

Another question this brings up is that if we do nothing on the decision date when the buyout happens and we get flutter shares at the conversion ratio, then is the Stars shares considered a redemption (sale) and we have to report the net as either a capital gain or loss on the transaction???   

Wow so much to think about here.  There is some confusion out there for sure.

I think someone in this board kind of mentioned previously about what happens.
