RE:RE:Article from railjournal.com

RE:RE:Article from railjournal.comEU is more inclined to approve this deal. Lots have changed since when Alstom Siemens merger talk. USA has become bias and is protective of its companies, China is unchecked globally of its bully behavior and now EU has chance of controlling rail industry with 2 major rail companies based in Europe. Alstom with Bombardier and Siemens. Both will be very competitive and both will keep each other in check. Also unlike Alstom Siemens which was a merger the Alstom bombardier deal is considered acquisition which complements both Alstom and Bombardier and has less duplication which should also satisfy union as very little jobs will be affected. If anything Alstom will become more equal footed with Siemens. Unions care about their dues and jobs and both Alstom and Bombardier have enough backlog to keep all factories going. If anything then Canadian sites can be killed as the union only cares about European job.
