Arbor Metals Corp. has commenced planning for an exploratory work program to be conducted at the Rakounga gold project, located in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The company is currently evaluating proposals for the program, as well as viable options for expanding on the existing historical data on the project. Subject to available capital, and the management of risks associated with the continuing outbreak of COVID-19, the board of directors intends to finalize a program and source any necessary contractors prior to the end of the second quarter.
Additional information regarding intended programs to explore and develop the project, as well as the company's continuing evaluation of further strategic acquisition opportunities in the exploration-stage mineral sector, will be provided as it becomes available.
About the Rakounga gold project
The Rakounga gold project consists of an exploration permit covering a 250-square-kilometre area located along the Goren greenstone belt in central Burkina Faso. The company, through its wholly owned subsidiary Kruger Gold Corp., holds the right to acquire up to a 100-per-cent interest in and to the project, subject only to pre-existing royalty obligations. Kruger has control over operations conducted on the project and will look to expand on historical drilling and survey work conducted on the project.
