RE:nacelles cancellation is causing recent jitters

RE:nacelles cancellation is causing recent jittersNacelles is just one of the work from Belfast. Deal with spirit includes Morocco and facility in Dallas. Division which bombardier is selling makes fuslage, flight controls surfaces, wings, vertical & horizontal stabilizers and various other airframe components for bombardier, Airbus products, boeing and also are sub suppliers to many other aerospace companies which supply to many of Bombardiers competition. This industry is very intertwined. FYI Global 7500 fuselage is made by company owned by Airbus. It should also be noted that Airbus killed its own plan to make nacelles in house. Spirit has cash crunch issue and they still need to diversify away from Boeing or they dont have a future. If spirit doesn't buy Belfast and company then they will have to lay breakaway fee. GKN will be more then happy to buy Belfast as it complements their business model. But I don't think it will happen. Spirit will find investor backing to buy Belfast.

Lets hope that the A220 supply arrangement and other business is strong enough to keep the deal going.
