Bombardier has limited potential to grow..

That is probably true. There are a lot of business jet comptitors. Gufstream, Cessna, Embrear, Dassault to name a few. ALL BBDs competitors have substantial defence businesses. Only thing that can help BBD is to create a huge defence business. Canadas next fighter should be a BBD joint project with France and Germany. I think the Airbus/Alstom deals all drive in this direction
