The basic idea behind having equivalent % ownership of debentures as you do shares is your % ownership won't change if the debentures were redeemed in shares instead of cash. Since the latter is the case here, might as well buy shares with your debenture proceeds if not get ahead of the curve because its unusual tbh that the debentures are being redeemed for cash AND the share price so low - usually the share price tanks when the debentures are redeemed by issuing shares, not when they are redeemed for cash. Smart move by Wilson.
