D with the lower normal limit being 25 ng/ml, well below the 40 ng/ml which has been shown to be very effective. Some Vit. D advocates suggest a much higher blood level of Vit. D of 60ng/ml. The recommended daily allowance of Vit. D in many countries ranges from 600 to 2000 iu .Interestingly, rumour has it that Dr. Fauci, senior adviser to the President, reported in an email that he takes 6000 iu per day although this may have been a typo and he may just be taking 600 iu per day. A significant difference. Too bad he hasn't clarified this. GLTA.
