Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:APHA surge today

RE:APHA surge todayThe surge today is the talk all ove the web about a deal for CGC to buy APH at $8 a share.

My feelings as both companies confirmed a deal but did not finalize this tells me the deal fell apart.

I would becareful as the folks buying based on that deal will bail in mass when the deal dose not materialize.

Then with preasure from shorts this will drop

The surge is based on an upgrade from a middle of the road strategist at a bottom feeding investment firm. The reality is that Aphria has chosen a Thursday to report. In the history of the company, good reports only come out on Mondays. Interesting to note, the last ER that came out on a Thursday tanked the stock from a daily high of 8.17 to last week's low of 5.72.
