RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Siri Apple Article. I would like to add come comments which may clarify some important facts relating to Siri Article and case in general.
On March 28 /2018 IPA Technologies filed request for jury action for damages for infringement in 109 page document. In this document IPA asserted patent ownership for 6 patents as follows: Patent 115 number 6,851,115 which contained 6 independent claims & 89 total claims.
Patent 560, Patent 128, Patent 021 Patent 021, Patent 061 and patent 718.
I will just present factual words on 115 patent " Entitled Software based Architecture for Communications and Co-Operation Amoung Distributed Electronic Agents. Patent issued Feb1 /2005.
With this docment filed for 6 patents listed above it is obviously hoped that they would be successful on all. As we know from legal community and lawyers you ask for maximum and hope you will get a partial victory and judgment. on many issues.
So in Google, microsoft and Amazon there will be issues won and lost in process but you still have valid case winning on some of patents but not maybe all..
For us to look at every decision and expect a win on the 6 patents is unrealistic and will not happen. Much will take place before we get to court for 5 day trial Sept26 at PTAB , examination for discovery, pre-trail etc
Let's not analzye every decision on 6 patents to determine our basis for win at trial. Hopefully we will win part of damages which if it occurs will be big.
