RE:RE:News.. lol !!you're right... it doesn't matter to Jean et al what obstacles they face down there.. he is stiill nice and warm in his cosy office far removed from any actual personal involvement is what i think.
This is one of the worst things any CEO can do is remain uninvolved...
A good CEO is directly involved and leading the show by example.. having his feet on the ground on a day to day basis and keeping his sharholders informed until such time as the operation is up as running and producing in the best possible way..
Once that has been accomplished... then back off and spend more time in the office..
BUT
Does Jean even know how to actually run a gold mine? Probably not... just a graduate from some university where they don't learn anything about the real world... just all theories and BS and no real life experience..
Credentials met on paper only is what i suspect.
Would like him to prove me wrong someday!
BUT
This frikkin COVID has so many things shut down and running at reduced rates and that is not his fault or anybody's fault here in the Americas and it is a dangerous threat no doubt so it represents a legitimate reason for things being hampered.
But looking at past history of Jean's performance as CEO he never did much of anything in the managerial department and now he just has a COVID blanket to hide behind it seems.
Wonder how long the company will actually allow this to continue before they actually get a real and knowledgeable leader in place?.. maybe forever?? who can know?
all my opinion! (my disclaimer!)
