RE:RE:technical question Anyone who thinks the bid will be for $6 or higher is out of their minds. Why do you think a bid is being made now? It's because the stock is dirt cheap, so a buyer can look generous offering a 50% or even a 100% premium. Optimistically, that might mean a bid of about $4.
Just look at what happened to Air Transat....bidding war and AC closes a deal at $18/share, then the price crashes and they end up buying it for $6.50/share and looking "generous" for offering a 30% premium over what the price has collapsed to.
I certainly hope no offer is accepted because my CHR cost is much higher than any offer that will be coming.
And anyone who things the federal government might be a buyer is also out to lunch. That's not what the government does especially when facing record deficits and debt and with a minority government.
Nice to see the bump in the share price, but I certainly hope the BOD can reject this offer.
