Some have suggested this is a large OEM customer of GSI. I'm beginning to think that also. Doug would be very accomodating time wise if the deal brings future business contracts to GSI and brand awareness by an OEM is a bonus. It also explains why it has taken longer than expected. If it was a fund or Investment group sure free up $6.5m and send it over. Done deal. Large companies move more slowly and have protocols to follow. The CEO can't just walk down to the CFO's office and say give me $6.5m to buy some stock. OK? There has to be planning, meetings, budgets. Even if they have the cash on hand they just can't spend it easily. Approval by other depts and the BOD's would likely be required. How to account for it on the books for the next QR. Just a thought.
How about New Flyer Industries?
