RE:RE:RE:Manipulated by Trump ...Bump, those are the FACTS;

gebremeskel wrote: Most of you Trump haters don't think logically but stupidly follow what the media feeds you. Simply manipulated.

As are you. The only difference is you are regurgitating the talking points from Fox and Breitbart as opposed to the middle of the road viewpoint of CNN and the other major networks. You know - the sort of viewpoint Walter Cronkite might have had rather than that of Joe McCarthy or John Birch which has become the Fox alt-right norm.

Your post describes Trump as a dictator, psychiatrists paint him as predator, hmm...
Look, you Dems don't know what dictatorship mean. How can you say that when all his 4yrs he fought on constant attack on him? Ask any North Korean what is a dictator.

No-one says Trump is a dictator. He is only a wannabe dictator. Most of the so-called attacks against Trump have arisen as a reaction to his unprecedented attacks on democracy and the rule of law. They are an effort to minimize the damage he is doing to the institutions of the US. some examples:
- his attempts to restrict entry to the US based on religion and ethnicity
- his undisguised efforts to profit financially from the presidency
- his countless efforts at obstruction of justice, so that he remains unnaccountable for his alleged criminal activities, including the destruction of the powers of Congress by undermining their subpoena power
- his unprcedented politicization of the Justice Department.

There was no constant attack against George Bush by Democrats even though they opposed many of his policies. The reason? George Bush was not an existential threat to the Democratic institutions of the Republic as Trump has proven himself to be.

As for psychiatrists - I don't give a s....t. I see what he has accomplished in a little time Dems leave him alone. Tell me what Obama did in his 8yrs?!

- Rescued the economy from the greatest downturn since the Great Depression
- Passed health care, extending health insurance to millions of Americans and protecting them from denial of coverage because of pre-existing conditions
- Passed Wall Street reform to prevent another Great Recession
- Negotiated a deal preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons
- Committed the US to a global agreement on climate change
- Brought home 90% of the 180,000 US troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan
- Rescued the US auto industry
- Eliminated "enhanced interrogations" - AKA - torture
- limited carbon emissions from power plants
- prevented DREAMERS from being deported
- boosted fuel efficiency standards
- established net neutrality
- diversified the federal bureaucracy so that more women and people of colour were included
- passed the fair sentencing act
- worked to end housing and employment discrimination, strengthened enforcement of the Voting Rights Act, and cracked down on discriminatory policing practices
- expanded wilderness and watershed protection
- reduced the threat from nuclear weapons, eliminating weapons grade uranium from 16 countries and ratifying treaty with Russia
- forced credit card companies to notify customers in advance before raising rates
- cut veteran homelessness in half
- reduced government surveillance authority for the first time since 1978
- cut the deficit from 9.8% of GDP to 3.2% in 2016 - under Trump it is now 16%
- improved school nutrition
- strengthened women's rights to fair pay
- declared carbon dioxide a pollutant allowing for EPA regulation
- protected the LGBTQ community from hiring discrimination
- reduced discriminaion against ex-prisoners in federal hiring
- reduced discrimination against African Americans and Latinos by financial institutions who charged them higher rates and fees in mortgages
- expanded health coverage for children
- expanded broadband
- improved food safety
- rebuilt and fortified Gulf Coast post-Katrina

For now:
Trump put China in place (it would be much better in the next 4yrs)

- China is the only major economy to expand in 2020 - it expanded by 4.9% last quarter over 2019
- US investment in China increased 6% in 2020
- the US trade deficit hasn't been this high in 14 years

Stopped free money to Iran and bring many US soldiers back home.

- Obama did not give a dime to Iran. He only allowed Iran access to their own assets which had been frozen by sanctions in return for their abandoning any steps to produce nuclear weapons - there is no agreement now and no inspections, so no one really knows what Iran is doing - good job Mr. President
- there are now 10,000 American troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria combined, just slightly less than at the end of the Obama administration.

...................

Obama is going to be remembered only as a Black President. Trump will be remembered for what he did.

Stup!d racist horsesh!t which ignores the facts. Trump will be remembered for the mess he left. Obama will be remembered for his solid achievements.

Researchbased wrote: StevenB (the "B" stands for "brainwashed") is being used by Trump  to try to make us believe the US election was rigged.  Strange, that would be only in the states where Trump lost!!! Can you believe that?... lolll   Talk about a double whammy!

Trump's pattern was quite predictable, given his type of sick personality.  The guy has been promoting fraud in mail-in (instead of fixing it) 6 months before it happened!  Wow!

A stable genius?  No.  Simply a manipulator.  Because he knew he would lose the vote right there.  And that's exactly what happened.  Because the dictator painted himself in the corner, in his own reality, now he has no exit.  So he has to go full gimmick.  But he has innoncent bagholders.  So that helps.  So lets manipualte them.

Psychiatrists can debunk this sick guy (and his bagholders) easily.

The inability of Donald Trump and his supporters to come to terms with defeat is dangerous, both for the United States and the rest of the world, believes Dr. Bandy X. Lee, a forensic psychiatrist at Yale University and author of the best- seller "The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" and the new book "Profile of a Nation: Trump's Mind, America's Soul", published last month.

President Donald Trump and his supporters refuse to acknowledge Joe Biden’s victory, a first in modern American history.

You believe that mental health specialists are better able to explain the behavior of the president and his supporters than political scientists. Why ?

From a public health standpoint, Trump has shown signs of psychological danger since he began his presidency, and of mental incapacity since April 2019, when me and 36 other psychiatrists and mental health experts drew attention. about this question. Trump is spreading this psychological danger among his supporters. You can see that they are not rational because they are unable to absorb facts and evidence. Any information that does not confirm their beliefs is rejected. They are also likely to resort to violence when confronted: their natural response is to get angry and attack rather than changing their beliefs to reflect reality. In psychology, we have a phenomenon known and documented for 150 years called "million dollar madness", which results from the mass adoption of the theories of an individual who has lost touch with reality. The emotional force behind the symptoms makes them spread more quickly and easily than a lie or misinformation would usually spread. This is currently happening in the United States. Of course, when my colleagues and I say this, supporters of President Trump vehemently oppose it. One indicator of the severity of symptoms of a mental disorder is denying the problem. A healthy person will always be able to have doubts and be open to the possibility that they have a problem. But when you refuse to hear anything, say, like Trump, that you are a "very stable genius", that you never make mistakes, that you are always right, that's where it is. 'is worrying.

You say we are entering the most dangerous phase of Donald Trump's presidency. Why ?

Because the ultimate threat to his psychic survival is now realized. The problem is not so much about losing the office of the presidency - Trump doesn't give a damn about the office of the presidency - but losing the adulation, the approval, the power that the presidency gave him. This is what prompted him to become president in the first place. In addition to the risk of legal action and the risk of running out of money, Donald Trump will also lose the crowds that had gathered around him and whom he could easily manipulate and seduce. He is in the fight of his life. It’s a matter of psychic survival, and when a troubled mind comes to this it is likely to respond with rage, revenge. The security of the United States, if not the world, can be at risk. Donald Trump is now more dangerous than ever. Of all of Trump's presidency, the next three months are my biggest worry.

Will Donald Trump's supporters change once Trump is out of the White House?

Trump will probably want to be the Republican nominee again, continue to be in the media. It will be necessary to see if the media will continue to allow him to propagate his pathology. However, if he were to go, there would be some return to normal, but I believe the population will continue to be vulnerable for some time. His supporters are going to look for another superman, another idol. Without Trump, the emotional part of the problem will be solved. But the cognitive part will continue. We have entertainment channels on TV and on the Internet in the United States that say they are "news", and that will continue to spread false information and tell people how to think. It must stop. It is also important that the socioeconomic conditions that have allowed the growing vulnerability of someone like Donald Trump are addressed. I am thinking above all of the rise in inequalities, because it is relative poverty that is more hurtful psychologically than absolute poverty. This is why a large segment of the population became psychologically vulnerable to a predator who was ready to exploit and manipulate it.
