Why are people trying to talk everyone out of seeing the cards, when we've paid already?

There's a couple of hundred thousand tons of tailings that were processed with ancient technologies and the bet is that there's plenty of gold left in them.  All this talk about the cost of mining is silly.  The stuff's already mined.

There's going to be gold in the pile or there isn't.  My hope is that there's enough gold in the tailings to finanace a 21st century drilling program and dewater the lower levels of the existing mine. But I read fireoutraged and I can smell his desperation.  I just can't for the life of me figure it out.  What's the angle, dude?
