"SEDAR is the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval, the electronic filing system for the disclosure documents of issuers across Canada

Most of the documents which are legally required to be filed with the Canadian Securities Administrators and many documents which may be filed with the Canadian exchanges (market centres) are included in the SEDAR system"

so seems to be an easier way to do the required filing needed in order to be a publicy traded stock
