Thar's gold in that thar stockpile!Any confirmation of visible gold in the stockpile by the labs after they finish assaying the rush samples from percussion drilling, will in my opinion demonstrate that the old miners did not mill the material enough to get strong recoveries from gravity separation.
Therefore, it is possible that 40% to 50% of the insitu gold in the host rock remains in the stockpile awaiting recovery with modern equipment which could then crush it down to a fine size and recover much of the gold left behind by the old miners. There are different styles of ball mills that can crush and pulverize the ore. It won't surprise me if the labs report visual gold in the rush samples just sent to Sparks, Nevada. How long it will take to get these back will depend on just how backed up the lab is right now. So, I think that January might be the earliest for a turnaround result regarding assays.
