Husky Needs to Disappear Eventually. The Commons will be Cancelled shortly as I understand. Then Eventually the Preferred (if they remain Husky). This is why ~$25 or close to it are probably in the cards in the Short Term.
$25, IMHO, should be virtually immediately paid to the Preferreds under the terms of the preferreds, but I don't think that will happen..... but we all know the Preferreds will go eventually if they remain Husky.
If they convert to Cenovus Preferreds, the crazy yields they offer in a near Zero rate market will cause the price to move up towards $25.
We are heading towards $25..... question is, how fast?
Slowly with the rest of the market..... or FAST with redemption???
All just my opinion/view/thinking. Could be wrong.
