Electra Battery Materials Corporation is a Canada-based processor of low-carbon, ethically sourced battery materials. The Company is focused on building a supply of cobalt, nickel and recycled battery materials. It is engaged in the business of battery materials refining, including refining material from mining operations and from the recycling of battery scrap and end of life batteries. It owns two main assets: the refinery located in Ontario, Canada and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project located in Idaho, United States. Its projects include Ontario Refinery, Recycling, Becancour, North American Nickel and Iron Creek. It is in the process of constructing its expanded hydrometallurgical cobalt refinery, assessing the various optimizations and modular growth scenarios for a recycled battery material (known as black mass) program, and exploring and developing its mineral properties. RE:Beyond Lion Batteries welcome FBI

RE:Beyond Lion Batteries welcome FBIGreat post. I must admit that I'm very skeptical of the future of cobalt in EV batteries. As a shareholder like you I do not want my own confirmation bias to cloud my investment decisions. The fact is the future does not belong to Cobalt regarding batteries-tesla wants out, Nissan and Toyota are already developing solid state batteries without Cobalt. Cobalt extraction is dirty. Particularly in North America due to its high arsenic levels. There is no green first Cobalt. Further, most of the world does not want to deal with the DNC regarding Cobalt-and their words blood Cobalt applies. As a local, from the Cobalt Ontario area, I would like nothing better than to see a restart of the refinery just for the fact that it wood employee my neighbors. But the science does not point in that direction. I still have a small stake here after having divested 75% of what I previously owned. Science is not on first Cobalt side. But best wishes to you .
